Titanium Grade 5 Fully threaded stud & nut sets
ASME B18.31.2ASTM B348
A Titanium Grade 5 stud-and-nut set brings higher strength than commercially pure titanium at low density to the complete threaded connection. The stud and two nuts retain separate material conditions, thread checks and lot identities within one BOM.

Heat Treatment
AnnealedAnnealing reduces working stresses and restores ductility, with atmosphere and surface control limiting contamination during heating.
What we can make in Titanium Grade 5
Stud
Finished stud length covers the flange stack, gasket and both nut engagements. Full-length thread permits nut positioning from either end for cover removal and flange assembly.
Nuts
Match nut thread class and proof-load requirements to the stud. Regular and heavy-hex patterns need different socket clearances and bearing footprints around the flange holes.

Manufacturing route
Studs, nuts and washers are manufactured and inspected as separate components before the specified quantities are packed as a set.
Heat treatment & final condition
Forming and thermal processing require contamination control. The final surface is cleaned before dimensional and material acceptance.
Finished geometry
Thread engagement, nut pattern and component grades are checked together. Each component retains its heat or batch identity in the set documentation.
Where Titanium Grade 5 fits — and what matters

Industrial Machinery & Automation
Machine housings and service coversTitanium Grade 5 fully threaded stud & nut sets supply the stud and two mating nuts for machine housings and service covers as one assembly line item. Thread fit, nut pattern and stud length are coordinated before packing. Alignment, operating cycles and replacement access define the working interface.

Pumps, Valves & OEM
Pump casings and valve bonnetsTitanium Grade 5 fully threaded stud & nut sets supply the stud and two mating nuts for pump casings and valve bonnets as one assembly line item. Thread fit, nut pattern and stud length are coordinated before packing. Repeated maintenance makes fit, engagement and access part of the component specification.

Automotive & EV Manufacturing Equipment
Test-equipment housingsTitanium Grade 5 fully threaded stud & nut sets supply the stud and two mating nuts for test-equipment housings as one assembly line item. Thread fit, nut pattern and stud length are coordinated before packing. Repeated tooling changes require consistent seating and repeatable assembly dimensions.
Same stud & nut set. Different material priorities.
Titanium Grade 5 material dataTitanium Grade 2
Low mass, corrosion resistance and commercially pure titanium formability.
- Connection priority
- Preload shared by the stud and its mating nuts
- Commercially pure titanium
- Grade 2 favours corrosion resistance and forming characteristics over the higher strength of Grade 5. Mating-metal contact, surface condition and assembly friction remain part of the connection design. Include liquid retained at the stud threads, two nut engagements and bearing seats in the exposure description.
Inconel 718
Precipitation-hardened strength for compact, highly loaded connections.
- Connection priority
- Preload shared by the stud and its mating nuts
- Strength after aging
- Machine-stock properties and final aged properties describe different states. The final heat-treatment lot and mechanical results establish the strength available in the installed part. At the stud threads, two nut engagements and bearing seats, the relevant metal temperature can differ from the process or furnace set point.

Questions about Titanium Grade 5 fully threaded stud & nut sets
What makes a set traceable rather than simply bagged together?
The stud and each nut lot retain their material and production identities. Component counts, mating thread checks and final conditions are recorded against the set’s BOM.
