UNS N08811
What is Incoloy 800HT and its applications?
Incoloy 800HT (UNS N08811) is a restricted-composition member of the 800 family used in equipment exposed to prolonged elevated temperatures. Its applications include reforming, industrial heating and high-temperature heat transfer.
- Reforming equipment: Components carrying sustained loads at elevated temperature.
- Industrial heating: Furnace fixtures and thermal-processing hardware.
- Heat transfer: Parts with a defined creep-design basis.

Engineering Application & Selection Guide
Controlled carbon and aluminum-plus-titanium limits, together with high-temperature annealing and grain-size control, support its creep and rupture properties. These requirements distinguish N08811 from a general N08810 material callout.
- Incoloy 800HT stud bolts — For process flanges, specify N08811 and the required final condition explicitly.
- Incoloy 800HT hex bolts — For heated supports, assess thread-root stresses and sustained-load behavior.
- Incoloy 800HT socket head cap screws — For furnace tooling, document the manufacturing sequence and verify the final condition and dimensions.
Compare 800H and 800HT using the governing specification and design data. Certification to N08810 alone does not demonstrate N08811 compliance. Any manufacturing heat treatment must follow the applicable requirements rather than an assumed universal post-cold-work cycle.

Specify the material and final condition
800, 800H and 800HT have distinct chemistry and condition requirements.
Material forms in the technical reference: Round bar · Flat bar · Wire · Plate · Sheet · Strip · Pipe & tube · Forging stock · Hexagon & sections.
Define the finished-part acceptance
Include the material or bolting specification, required final condition, dimensions and quantity. State the service medium, temperature and loading where known. Agree the required tests, inspection coverage and acceptance criteria for the finished part.
