UNS S32760
What is Super Duplex S32760 and its applications?
Super Duplex S32760 is a nitrogen-alloyed duplex stainless steel containing chromium, nickel, molybdenum, tungsten and copper. It is used for highly stressed components in chloride-bearing process fluids, including offshore, seawater and chemical-handling equipment.
- Oil and gas equipment: Valve and pump components exposed to corrosive process fluids.
- Seawater handling: Cooling and desalination equipment requiring resistance to localized corrosion.
- Chemical processing: Salt evaporation and process systems where both fluid chemistry and mechanical loads matter.

Engineering Application & Selection Guide
S32760 combines a ferrite-austenite structure with substantial chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen additions. Its tungsten and copper distinguish its chemistry from S32750; the UNS designations are not interchangeable purchase descriptions.
- S32760 hex bolts — For pump and valve joints, identify whether the fastener is process-wetted, externally exposed or isolated from the fluid.
- S32760 stud bolts — State the operating fluid, maximum metal temperature and project inspection requirements for pressure-joint review.
- S32760 socket head cap screws — For recessed heads, show access for tightening and inspection, and consider whether the recess can retain seawater.
Use the S32760 and 2507 material comparison to check chemistry and condition-specific data. Similar room-temperature strength is insufficient grounds for substitution. Sour-service acceptance, where required, depends on the applicable standard, material condition and environmental limits.
