Acid, Abrasion, and Thermal Cycling.
Titanium performance in sulfuric leach liquor depends strongly on temperature and oxidizing species. Grade 5 adds strength, not a general corrosion upgrade over Grade 2. For HPAL closures, separate external load-bearing studs from acid-wetted hardware and select wetted alloys from the actual liquor data.

2205 and 2507 offer strength with corrosion resistance for compatible slurry-pump joints. 17-4PH can add strength at protected wear-plate attachments, but exposed low-pH slurry needs separate corrosion and wear evidence; bolt hardness alone does not establish abrasion life.

Alloy 20, 904L and Titanium Grade 2 provide different options for acid-mist-exposed cell hardware. Select by acid concentration and temperature, then control stray-current paths with the electrical layout and insulation; titanium alone does not make a bolted joint electrically isolated.

What process information is useful for leach equipment?
