Super Duplex S32760 Stud Bolts
ASME B18.31.2ASTM A276
Super Duplex S32760 studs serve loaded seawater-pump covers and saline-process flanges. High strength and chloride resistance suit compact closure joints; full-thread and double-end forms accommodate through-flanges and tapped housings.

What we can make in Super Duplex S32760
Fully threaded
Two nuts clamp the flange or cover; usable thread length spans the assembled grip.
Double-end
A plain centre spans the grip, with a threaded portion at each end for the nuts.
Tap-end
One end engages a tapped casing; the exposed end accepts the cover nut.

Manufacturing route
CNC machining suits samples and special end forms. Repeat lots use cut-to-length stock with rolling or cutting selected for the ordered thread and material condition.
Heat treatment & final condition
Solution treatment and cooling control the duplex structure. Subsequent processing must preserve the ordered corrosion and mechanical condition.
Finished geometry
End lengths, runout and effective thread engagement are checked separately from overall length; tap ends are gauged to their own fit requirement.
Where Super Duplex S32760 fits — and what matters

Seawater pumps
Super Duplex S32760 Stud BoltsS32760 studs suit loaded seawater-pump covers requiring this grade's strength and chloride resistance. In a double-end arrangement, the casing-side thread can remain installed while the cover is removed. Separate housing engagement and nut-end lengths fit the replacement stud to the existing cover stack.
Connection requirements
- Tapped-hole engagement
- Cover lifting clearance and stud projection
- Finished condition and required testing

Subsea & ROV connections
Super Duplex S32760 Stud BoltsSubsea flange studs need a clear material identity as well as dimensions that suit the installation tooling. S32760 offers super duplex strength and seawater corrosion resistance. In cathodically protected equipment, hydrogen exposure under sustained stress is an additional selection issue, so the bolting qualification must cover the actual protection conditions.
Connection requirements
- Cathodic-protection system
- Installation and tensioning envelope
- Stud condition and project qualification

Thermal desalination (MED/MSF) evaporators
Super Duplex S32760 Stud BoltsThermal-desalination equipment has saline covers and auxiliary connections that must be opened for cleaning. S32760 studs can serve those joints where temperature and brine chemistry fall within the selected super duplex duty. Their removable nuts simplify cover work, while the complete flange stack determines the stud length.
Connection requirements
- Brine temperature and chemistry
- Cover, gasket and nut stack
- Required mechanical properties at service temperature
Same stud. Different material priorities.
Super Duplex S32760 material dataSuper Duplex 2507 Stud Bolts
2507 studs are useful on seawater pump covers and high-pressure desalination connections where corrosion resistance and strength are both priorities. The stud arrangement keeps nuts accessible and helps locate removable covers. Compared with 2205 studs, they address more demanding chloride exposure; the final heat-treated condition is central to that performance.
254 SMO Stud Bolts
254 SMO studs retain seawater-pump and bleach-plant covers exposed to chloride-bearing residues. The six-moly austenitic alloy offers improved localized-corrosion resistance over 316. Removable nuts permit servicing, while defined housing engagement and nut-end projection suit double-end cover studs.
Inconel 625 Stud Bolts
Offshore flanges and marine valve bonnets put the stud threads, nut seats and exposed shank in different pockets of chloride exposure. Inconel 625 studs bring pitting and crevice-corrosion resistance to that loaded connection. On tapped-stud bonnets, crews can remove the nuts and cover while leaving the studs installed in the valve body.

Questions about Super Duplex S32760 stud bolts & threaded rods
Does changing the stud alloy also change the nut selection?
The nut needs compatible internal threads, sufficient engaged height and a specified material condition. Select lubricant or surface treatment with the stud–nut pair, because assembly friction affects the preload obtained from tightening.
