Nimonic 75 Stud Bolts

ASME B18.31.2BS HR 5

Nimonic 75 stud bolts pair a solid-solution nickel-chromium alloy with double-ended anchoring for furnace shields, burner mounts, and retort covers under repeated heating and thermal cycling. The alloy resists scaling at joint faces.

Annealed

Annealing reduces work hardening and restores ductility for the specified supplied condition.

What we can make in Nimonic 75

Fully threaded

Two nuts clamp the flange or cover; usable thread length spans the assembled grip.

Double-end

A plain centre spans the grip, with a threaded portion at each end for the nuts.

tap endnut end

Tap-end

One end engages a tapped casing; the exposed end accepts the cover nut.

Manufacturing route

CNC machining suits samples and special end forms. Repeat lots use cut-to-length stock with rolling or cutting selected for the ordered thread and material condition.

Heat treatment & final condition

The ordered annealed or solution-treated state is retained in the lot record; forming and machining do not replace the specified thermal condition.

Finished geometry

End lengths, runout and effective thread engagement are checked separately from overall length; tap ends are gauged to their own fit requirement.

Where Nimonic 75 fits — and what matters

Industrial burner mounted on a bolted furnace flange beside a combustion-air blower and ductwork.

Burner mounts & nozzles

Nimonic 75 Stud Bolts

Nimonic 75 studs suit moderately loaded burner brackets and small mounting plates exposed to heat and oxidation. They provide fastening points that can stay installed while the accessible nuts and bracket are removed for burner maintenance.

Connection requirements
  • Mount joint thickness, gasket type, and required preload
  • Stud diameter, overall length, and nut engagement at each end
  • Temperature range, cycling duty, and heat-number certification

Heat shields & furnace linings

Nimonic 75 Stud Bolts

Studs through insulation or stand-offs let shield retainers be secured away from the furnace structure. Nimonic 75 resists oxidation and scaling at the exposed hot portions. Its moderate-strength profile suits retaining and support duties where the main requirement is a serviceable heat-resistant attachment.

Connection requirements
  • Panel and lining thickness, and required preload
  • Stud diameter, overall length, and nut engagement at each end
  • Temperature range, cycling duty, and heat-number certification

Retort & muffle covers

Nimonic 75 Stud Bolts

On lightly loaded retort covers and auxiliary plates, Nimonic 75 studs guide the part into position and accept nuts outside the cover. Oxidation resistance supports repeated furnace exposure. The stud form is especially useful when the mounting points should remain undisturbed during routine opening.

Connection requirements
  • Cover joint thickness, gasket type, and required preload
  • Stud diameter, overall length, and nut engagement at each end
  • Temperature range, cycling duty, and heat-number certification

Nimonic 75 material data

Inconel 601 Stud Bolts

Inconel 601 studs provide fixed, oxidation-resistant mounting points for furnace covers, lining retainers and hot-side supports. Nuts can be removed while the stud stays installed. Projection and stand-off length help place the accessible nut away from the hot attachment point.

Inconel 600 Stud Bolts

Inconel 600 studs provide fixed attachment points on lining supports, hot accessory covers and selected caustic-service equipment. Heat and corrosion resistance are useful at exposed shanks and thread ends. Removable nuts allow access without repeatedly withdrawing body-mounted fasteners.

Nimonic 80A Stud Bolts

Nimonic 80A studs carry hot tensile loads at selected valve bonnets, boiler supports and exchanger covers. Precipitation hardening supplies nickel-alloy strength at temperature. Accessible end nuts provide cover removal or support adjustment without requiring the stud itself to turn with every maintenance operation.

Questions about Nimonic 75 stud bolts & threaded rods

Does changing the stud alloy also change the nut selection?

The nut needs compatible internal threads, sufficient engaged height and a specified material condition. Select lubricant or surface treatment with the stud–nut pair, because assembly friction affects the preload obtained from tightening.
