Inconel 600 Hex Nuts
ISO 4032ASTM B166
Inconel 600 hex nuts pair a solid-solution nickel-chromium-iron alloy with a standard-height mating nut for furnace bolt and stud systems. Paired with matching 600 bolts and studs, they support full thread engagement within standard height.

What we can make in Alloy 600
Regular hex
Use on equipment covers and mounting brackets with standard socket access. The compact wrenching envelope is useful where adjacent fasteners or housing walls restrict tool clearance.
Heavy hex
Use on flange-bolting sets and pressure-equipment joints calling for a heavy-hex pattern. The wider bearing footprint and larger wrench size require more seat area and socket clearance than a regular hex nut.
Thin hex
Use in restricted axial spaces or as part of a specified two-nut locking arrangement. Reduced thread engagement means a thin nut is not a direct load-capacity replacement for a full-height nut.

Manufacturing route
Small lots use machined blanks. Volume nut blanks use a forming route compatible with the alloy before machining the bore and tapping.
Heat treatment & final condition
The ordered annealed or solution-treated state is retained in the lot record; forming and machining do not replace the specified thermal condition.
Finished geometry
Internal thread gauging, usable engagement and bearing-face alignment are checked after final processing.
Where 600 fits — and what matters

Retort & muffle covers
Inconel 600 Hex NutsRegular hex 600 nuts suit retort covers and furnace accessories with closely spaced studs. Their compact pattern leaves useful room for tooling, and the alloy supplies heat and oxidation resistance. They are practical for smaller hot attachments that do not need the bearing footprint of a heavy hex nut.
Connection requirements
- Mating stud diameter, thread form, and thread class
- Nut height, width across flats, and bearing-face condition required
- Temperature range, cycling duty, and heat-number certification

Radiant tubes & circulation fans
Inconel 600 Hex NutsOn radiant-tube support and fan-housing hardware, Inconel 600 nuts provide a heat-resistant internally threaded component. Regular hex dimensions help around crowded supports and guards. Selecting the nut alongside the mating stud keeps both exposed threaded parts suited to the furnace atmosphere.
Connection requirements
- Mating bolt diameter, thread form, and thread class
- Nut height, width across flats, and bearing-face condition required
- Temperature range, vibration duty, and heat-number certification

Recovery boiler & causticizing hardware
Inconel 600 Hex NutsCausticizing covers and brackets can expose their nuts to hot alkaline liquid during operation or servicing. Inconel 600 is useful for this chemical environment. A regular hex pattern fits compact cover studs, protecting the nut threads as well as the external fastener surfaces reached by the liquor.

- Mating stud diameter, thread form, and thread class
- Nut height, width across flats, and bearing-face condition required
- Hot caustic exposure, cycling duty, and heat-number certification
Same hex nut. Different material priorities.
Inconel 600 material dataInconel 601 Hex Nuts
Inconel 601 hex nuts fit space-limited retort covers, fixture stacks and lining retainers. They provide oxidation-resistant internal threads in a compact pattern. Regular hex dimensions leave tool clearance around closely arranged supports that cannot accommodate heavy-pattern nuts.
Incoloy 800 Hex Nuts
Incoloy 800 hex nuts suit compact heat-resistant cover, bracket and shield-support connections. Regular dimensions leave room around closely spaced studs, while the alloy resists oxidation. Compare 800H when sustained stress at high temperature makes creep behaviour the governing selection issue.
Hastelloy C-276 Hex Nuts
Hastelloy C-276 hex nuts provide a compact corrosion-resistant component for crowded reactor, exchanger and scrubber connections. Aggressive liquid can reach both the internal threads and seating face. The regular pattern preserves tool clearance where heavy hex nuts would occupy too much space.

Questions about 600 hex nuts
Does a matching UNS make the stud and nut a matched set?
Matching chemistry addresses only one part of the order. Nut strength, effective engagement, internal thread fit and surface friction must also suit the stud and assembly tightening method.
