Duplex 2205 Custom fasteners
ASTM A276
Duplex 2205 custom fasteners use duplex strength and chloride-corrosion resistance at drawing-defined bearing, locating or threaded interfaces. The manufacturing route starts with the functional datums and required final condition.

What we can make in Duplex 2205
Head & drive
Choose the drive around the installed tool path: external flats need space around the head, while a socket recess needs axial access. Flange diameter determines the bearing footprint on the equipment face.
Shank & interfaces
Use shoulders and steps to locate tooling, pivots or covers rather than relying on thread clearance for positioning. Diameter tolerances and transition radii must match the mating bore and seat.
Thread & end form
Use unequal ends for housings and nuts with different engagement depths. Cross-holes, special tips and thread reliefs can provide pin retention, adjustment or clearance at a specific interface.

Manufacturing route
CNC machining suits samples; a volume heading or forging route must preserve duplex phase balance through forming and final thermal processing.
Heat treatment & final condition
Solution treatment and cooling control the duplex structure. Subsequent processing must preserve the ordered corrosion and mechanical condition.
Finished geometry
Head geometry, bearing face, shank and thread fit are checked after the final machining and thermal operations.
Where Duplex 2205 fits — and what matters

Offshore & Marine
Deck-equipment brackets and marine pump skidsDuplex 2205 drawing-based special alloy fasteners provide drawing-defined pins, stepped retainers or shoulder connections for deck-equipment brackets and marine pump skids. The loaded shoulder, locating fit and service-removal features establish the manufactured geometry. The assembled contact is exposed to saltwater, deposits and neighbouring metals.

Water Treatment & Desalination
Membrane-skid and pump supportsDuplex 2205 drawing-based special alloy fasteners provide drawing-defined pins, stepped retainers or shoulder connections for membrane-skid and pump supports. The loaded shoulder, locating fit and service-removal features establish the manufactured geometry. The water stream, cleaning cycle and retained liquid define exposure at the installed part.

Oil & Gas
Utility skids and instrument supportsDuplex 2205 drawing-based special alloy fasteners provide drawing-defined pins, stepped retainers or shoulder connections for utility skids and instrument supports. The loaded shoulder, locating fit and service-removal features establish the manufactured geometry. Utility connections and pressure-boundary parts have separate acceptance requirements on the equipment drawing.
Same custom fastener. Different material priorities.
Duplex 2205 material dataInconel 625
Solid-solution strength and resistance to aggressive process liquids.
- Connection priority
- The load path through shoulders, steps and threaded features
- Annealed or solution-annealed 625
- The delivery condition affects strength and high-temperature response. Keep the specified condition with the component’s mechanical acceptance; 718-style aging is not the strengthening route for 625. Include liquid retained at the drawing’s sealing, locating and bearing interfaces in the exposure description.
Super Duplex 2507
Super-duplex strength and resistance to chloride pitting.
- Connection priority
- The load path through shoulders, steps and threaded features
- Final duplex structure
- S32750 chemistry and final solution treatment belong together. Forming, section size and cooling affect the structure represented by the mechanical and corrosion records. Include liquid retained at the drawing’s sealing, locating and bearing interfaces in the exposure description.
Monel K-500
Age-hardened strength in the nickel–copper alloy family.
- Connection priority
- The load path through shoulders, steps and threaded features
- Strength and hydrogen exposure
- K-500 gains strength through aging. Cathodic protection, hydrogen exposure and the ordered condition need joint consideration in highly loaded marine components. Include liquid retained at the drawing’s sealing, locating and bearing interfaces in the exposure description.

Questions about Duplex 2205 drawing-based special alloy fasteners
Which features control acceptance on a custom part?
The datum system and functional interfaces determine inspection: a locating shoulder, seal seat or short thread can be more important than the largest overall dimension. Keep these features identified on the revision supplied for manufacture.
