Before production and at delivery

During quotation, a redacted certificate from a previous order can show the document format and recorded tests. It is a historical example, not certification of this product or a new order. Shipment documents must correspond to the material and batch actually supplied.

Technical help

Start with the controlled part definition

Custom fasteners are reviewed from the current drawing, model, specification or agreed written definition. Identify the part number and revision, intended assembly and which dimensions or characteristics are critical to function.

Manufacturing review

The review considers geometry, material form and condition, process sequence, tolerances, inspection access, marking, cleaning, packing and quantity. Any clarification or proposed change is returned for agreement before production scope is fixed.
