Which fasteners fit your pump, valve and OEM applications?

BYBOLT supplies Inconel 625 12-point flange bolts for corrosion-exposed pump casings and Incoloy 925 double-end studs for highly loaded valve bonnets. Monel K-500 stud bolts add strength to marine pump connections; 17-4 PH socket head screws clamp actuator hardware. We match the thread engagement and head clearance to your assembly drawing.

Split-case & multistage pump casings

Age-hardened K-500 studs suit seawater-pump casings that need high-strength nickel-copper fastening within an existing hole pattern. Where studs engage tapped casing holes, they can stay installed during cover removal, limiting repeated disturbance of those holes at overhaul.

Monel K-500 Stud Bolts
Connection requirements
  • Casing flange thickness, gasket type, and required preload
  • Stud diameter, overall length, and nut engagement at each end
  • Seawater exposure, age-hardened condition, and heat-number certification
Gate valve with a bolted bonnet, exposed threaded stem and flanged connections on an assembly bench.

High-pressure valve bonnets

A severe-service valve bonnet may use corrosion-resistant studs with heavy hex nuts above the cover. 825 nuts are appropriate where their acid resistance matches the external exposure. Nut height must leave room for the bonnet tooling and enough projecting thread to confirm full engagement after tightening.

Incoloy 825 Heavy Hex Nuts
Connection requirements
  • Bonnet access envelope
  • Stud strength and nut acceptance test
  • Process leakage and temperature
Pump impeller and shaft supported on workshop blocks, with a shaft sleeve, locknut and retaining rings laid alongside.

Impeller locknuts & shaft sleeves

Shaft rotation and axial thrust constantly shift impeller position against its sleeve and locking nut. Nitronic 60 shaft nuts resist galling during adjustment while holding the impeller firmly against vibration and reverse rotation.

Nitronic 60 shaft locknuts
Connection requirements
  • Shaft thread pitch and nut locking feature
  • Sleeve fit clearance and axial positioning dimension
  • Nut tightening sequence and anti-galling surface condition
Handwheel-operated knife gate valve with an exposed gate, stem and bolted packing gland on a workshop bench.

Packing gland followers & eyebolts

Packing gland followers use paired studs to draw the follower down evenly as packing is adjusted. Incoloy 825 studs are useful when acid leakage reaches this exposed hardware. The usable thread length needs to cover the follower’s adjustment travel, while both stud ends must fit the pump or valve body.

Incoloy 825 Stud Bolts
Connection requirements
  • Follower travel and spacing
  • Body thread size and engagement
  • Packing leakage chemistry
Submersible pump with a cylindrical motor housing, bolted joints, side discharge flange and coiled power cable on an inspection base.

Submersible pump motor housings

K-500 socket screws can secure a submersible motor end cover within a compact bolt circle. Their aged strength is useful where the cover load must be carried by small fasteners, and recessed heads leave access between nearby housing features. Selection also accounts for water retained at the head and the housing's cathodic-protection exposure.

Monel K-500 Socket Head Cap Screws
Connection requirements
  • Tapped-hole size, thread form, and effective engagement depth
  • Head diameter, head height, and socket depth for drive engagement
  • Seawater exposure, age-hardened condition, and heat-number certification
Disassembled control valve body with a stem-and-plug assembly, slotted cage and seat ring arranged on a workbench.

Cryogenic & severe-service trim hardware

Alloy 20 tap-end studs secure cryogenic and severe-service valve trim where aggressive media attack ordinary bolting. Their corrosion resistance holds trim alignment through temperature swings, pressure surges, and repeated maintenance cycles.

Alloy 20 trim tap-end studs
Connection requirements
  • Trim component material compatibility and thread fit
  • Stud length and engagement in cryogenic housing
  • Trim assembly clearance and disassembly access dimension

Casing Pressure, Erosion, and Galling.

2205 and 2507 combine strength with chloride stress-corrosion resistance for pump-cover bolting. Compare them with 316/B8M using the bolt load, fluid chemistry and temperature; pump pressure alone does not determine the alloy.

What to specify
  • Chloride concentration indicator
  • Casing design pressure indicator
  • Applied stress level indicator

Before you order pump & valve fasteners.

Send the drawing and the service details for your connection. We can quote the specified parts, finish and inspection package together.

Can you make different threads on the two ends?

Yes. Define diameter, pitch, thread class and usable length for each end, plus the centre shank and overall length.

Can I send a sample instead of a complete drawing?

Yes. Mark critical fits, mating threads and any known wear or deformation. We can establish the required dimensions for approval before manufacture.

How should a repeat OEM order be identified?

Use the approved part number and drawing revision with grade, final condition and quantity. Include any changes to the inspection plan or packing by assembly.
