Incoloy 825 Phillips pan head screws
ISO 7045ASTM B425
Incoloy 825 pan-head screws bring nickel–chromium–molybdenum–copper corrosion resistance to panel and cover fixings. The cross recess transfers installation torque while the head footprint spreads load into the panel.

What we can make in Alloy 825
Pan head
Use for panels and covers that can accept a projecting head, avoiding a countersink in thin sheet. The flat underside needs sufficient seat area around the clearance hole.
Phillips drive
Use a matching Phillips type H driver for service and assembly tools. A Pozidriv type Z bit is not the same fit; mismatched recess engagement increases cam-out and head damage.
Machine screw
Use with a tapped boss, nut or threaded insert in equipment panels. Match screw length to the available engagement so a blind hole does not stop the screw before the cover is clamped.

Manufacturing route
CNC machining suits samples and small lots. Cold heading or hot forging is selected for volume production according to alloy formability, head section and size.
Heat treatment & final condition
The final annealed or specified strengthened condition is linked to the lot; an aging treatment is not assumed for a solid-solution alloy.
Finished geometry
The cross recess is checked for tool engagement and concentricity, followed by thread gauging and under-head length inspection.
Where 825 fits — and what matters

Chemical Processing
Process-equipment covers and shieldsIncoloy 825 phillips pan head screws attach process-equipment covers and shields through a broad pan-head bearing face where a projecting head is acceptable and a cross-recess tool can reach the screw. Process liquid can remain at the contact after the exposed surface drains.

Pumps, Valves & OEM
Actuator housings and removable equipment coversIncoloy 825 phillips pan head screws attach actuator housings and removable equipment covers through a broad pan-head bearing face where a projecting head is acceptable and a cross-recess tool can reach the screw. Repeated maintenance makes fit, engagement and access part of the component specification.

Mining & Mineral Processing
Chemical-recovery equipment shieldsIncoloy 825 phillips pan head screws attach chemical-recovery equipment shields through a broad pan-head bearing face where a projecting head is acceptable and a cross-recess tool can reach the screw. Leach solution and deposits act on the installed part; corrosion duty is separate from abrasive wear.
Same phillips pan head screw. Different material priorities.
Incoloy 825 material dataHastelloy C-276
Resistance to chemically aggressive, mixed process streams.
- Connection priority
- Panel clamping and torque transfer through the cross recess
- Process liquid and shutdown chemistry
- C-276 is selected for its nickel–chromium–molybdenum–tungsten chemistry. Residual product, cleaning liquid and oxidising contamination can expose a sheltered connection differently from the main flow. Include liquid retained at the cross recess and the underside of the pan head in the exposure description.
Inconel 625
Solid-solution strength and resistance to aggressive process liquids.
- Connection priority
- Panel clamping and torque transfer through the cross recess
- Annealed or solution-annealed 625
- The delivery condition affects strength and high-temperature response. Keep the specified condition with the component’s mechanical acceptance; 718-style aging is not the strengthening route for 625. Include liquid retained at the cross recess and the underside of the pan head in the exposure description.
Hastelloy C-22
Corrosion resistance across oxidising and reducing process exposures.
- Connection priority
- Panel clamping and torque transfer through the cross recess
- Production and cleaning cycles
- C-22’s chromium-bearing chemistry is relevant when chemical exposure changes between operating and cleaning cycles. Include both liquids when comparing it with C-276 or a B-type nickel alloy. Include liquid retained at the cross recess and the underside of the pan head in the exposure description.

Questions about 825 phillips pan head screws
What controls installation on a thin panel?
The panel’s bearing strength and the engaged thread can govern before the screw’s tensile strength. Match the head footprint and driver recess to the tightening method and the actual panel or insert.
