Incoloy 800H Socket Head Cap Screws
ISO 4762ASTM B408
Incoloy 800H socket head cap screws pair a controlled-carbon, coarse-grained iron-nickel-chromium alloy with compact tapped assemblies for boiler, molten-salt, and exchanger fixtures under sustained high-temperature load. Controlled carbon and a coarse-grained, solution-annealed structure give 800H higher creep strength than base 800 for sustained high-temperature loading.

What we can make in Alloy 800H
Partial thread
Use where a plain grip must span the clamped components. Match the under-head length and thread length so the screw tightens the stack before its thread runout reaches the tapped hole.
Full thread
Use for shorter component stacks and varied tapped-hole depths. The longer usable thread offers adjustment, while the screw end must clear the bottom of a blind hole.

Manufacturing route
CNC machining suits samples and small lots. Cold heading or hot forging is selected for volume production according to alloy formability, head section and size.
Heat treatment & final condition
The final solution-treated condition and grain-size requirement are recorded for the ordered H or HT grade. Final dimensions are inspected after the last thermal operation.
Finished geometry
Head geometry, bearing face, shank and thread fit are checked after the final machining and thermal operations.
Where 800H fits — and what matters

Boiler tube hangers & superheaters
Incoloy 800H Socket Head Cap ScrewsIncoloy 800H socket screws fasten recessed superheater support blocks that remain loaded at elevated temperature. The material condition addresses creep in the screw, while axial tool access reaches holes between neighbouring supports and insulation. This is a drawing-specific support connection with a defined hot load, rather than a general boiler attachment.
Connection requirements
- Tapped-hole size, thread form, and effective engagement depth
- Head diameter, head height, and counterbore clearance required
- Sustained high-temperature duty, grade certification, and heat-number certification

Solar thermal (CSP) molten-salt piping
Incoloy 800H Socket Head Cap ScrewsIncoloy 800H socket screws secure recessed mounting blocks on external hot molten-salt pipe supports. The alloy addresses sustained stress at temperature, while the internal drive fits close to insulation and adjacent brackets. This is a hot support connection whose fasteners can remain outside the salt-wetted boundary.
Connection requirements
- Tapped-hole size, thread form, and effective engagement depth
- Head diameter, head height, and counterbore clearance required
- Sustained high-temperature duty, grade certification, and heat-number certification

Heat-exchanger & reactor covers
Incoloy 800H Socket Head Cap ScrewsIncoloy 800H socket screws secure compact support blocks and cover accessories near hot exchangers or reactors. The creep-resistant material condition is useful where these attachments remain loaded for long periods. Axial tool access suits recessed accessory mounts with little clearance around the head.
Connection requirements
- Tapped-hole size, thread form, and effective engagement depth
- Head diameter, head height, and socket depth for drive engagement
- Sustained high-temperature duty, grade certification, and heat-number certification

Incoloy 800H material dataIncoloy 800 Socket Head Cap Screws
Incoloy 800 socket head cap screws secure compact furnace accessories with moderate loads. Heat and oxidation resistance complement an internal drive reached along the screw axis. This form is useful for recessed retort covers and shield-retainer blocks crowded by adjacent hardware.
Nimonic 80A Socket Head Cap Screws
Nimonic 80A socket head cap screws secure compact burner brackets and furnace support blocks carrying significant hot loads. Precipitation-hardened strength is useful in these small fasteners. The internal drive provides access between adjacent hardware without clearance for an external wrench.
Inconel 718 Socket Head Cap Screws
Inconel 718 socket head cap screws put precipitation-hardened strength into highly loaded, counterbored connections on heated test fixtures and compact machinery mounts. The internal drive reaches the screw between adjacent components. They are especially relevant when the hole pattern limits screw diameter and the drawing calls for high strength at the actual operating temperature.

Questions about 800H socket head cap screws
What changes when the screw is stronger than the housing?
The housing thread can strip before the screw reaches its tensile capacity. The engagement depth and housing material therefore belong in the joint assessment alongside the screw’s final strength condition.
