Inconel 625 Long-shank flange bolts
ISO 4162ASTM B446
The long grip and integral bearing flange give Inconel 625 bolts two distinct interfaces to control. Solid-solution strength and resistance to aggressive process liquids must be paired with the required shank length, flange footprint and final condition.

Heat Treatment
Annealed or solution annealedFor B446 stock, Grade 1 is annealed and Grade 2 is solution annealed; the higher-temperature solution treatment supports creep resistance rather than age hardening.
What we can make in Alloy 625
Flanged head
Use on deep mounting brackets and thick equipment stacks where a wide head seat distributes the clamp load. Check the flange diameter against casting recesses and nearby ribs before specifying a larger head.
Extended grip
The extended plain grip can span spacers and thick components while the thread engages beyond them. Match grip length to the assembled stack so the nut can reach its seat without stopping at the thread runout.

Manufacturing route
CNC machining suits samples and small lots. Cold heading or hot forging is selected for volume production according to alloy formability, head section and size.
Heat treatment & final condition
The final annealed or specified strengthened condition is linked to the lot; an aging treatment is not assumed for a solid-solution alloy.
Finished geometry
Head geometry, bearing face, shank and thread fit are checked after the final machining and thermal operations.
Where 625 fits — and what matters

Chemical Processing
Mixer drives and process-equipment bracketsInconel 625 long-shank flange bolts span thick spacers or mounting sections in mixer drives and process-equipment brackets, combining an extended grip with a flange bearing face. Process liquid can remain at the contact after the exposed surface drains.

Pumps, Valves & OEM
Actuator mounts and pump baseplatesInconel 625 long-shank flange bolts span thick spacers or mounting sections in actuator mounts and pump baseplates, combining an extended grip with a flange bearing face. Repeated maintenance makes fit, engagement and access part of the component specification.

Mining & Mineral Processing
Leach-equipment and dosing-skid supportsInconel 625 long-shank flange bolts span thick spacers or mounting sections in leach-equipment and dosing-skid supports, combining an extended grip with a flange bearing face. Leach solution and deposits act on the installed part; corrosion duty is separate from abrasive wear.
Same long-shank flange bolt. Different material priorities.
Inconel 625 material dataHastelloy C-276
Resistance to chemically aggressive, mixed process streams.
- Connection priority
- Grip tension and distributed bearing at the flange
- Process liquid and shutdown chemistry
- C-276 is selected for its nickel–chromium–molybdenum–tungsten chemistry. Residual product, cleaning liquid and oxidising contamination can expose a sheltered connection differently from the main flow. Include liquid retained at the extended grip and the covered surface under the flange in the exposure description.
Hastelloy C-22
Corrosion resistance across oxidising and reducing process exposures.
- Connection priority
- Grip tension and distributed bearing at the flange
- Production and cleaning cycles
- C-22’s chromium-bearing chemistry is relevant when chemical exposure changes between operating and cleaning cycles. Include both liquids when comparing it with C-276 or a B-type nickel alloy. Include liquid retained at the extended grip and the covered surface under the flange in the exposure description.
Titanium Grade 2
Low mass, corrosion resistance and commercially pure titanium formability.
- Connection priority
- Grip tension and distributed bearing at the flange
- Commercially pure titanium
- Grade 2 favours corrosion resistance and forming characteristics over the higher strength of Grade 5. Mating-metal contact, surface condition and assembly friction remain part of the connection design. Include liquid retained at the extended grip and the covered surface under the flange in the exposure description.

Questions about 625 long-shank flange bolts
Which dimensions keep the flange and long grip working together?
The flange seat fixes one end of the stack; plain grip and runout fix where the threaded section begins. Specify both against the actual stack thickness so the nut tightens on the parts rather than reaching the end of usable thread.
