304 Fully threaded stud & nut sets
ASME B18.31.2ASTM A276
A 304 stud-and-nut set brings chromium–nickel stainless performance in general equipment to the complete threaded connection. The stud and two nuts retain separate material conditions, thread checks and lot identities within one BOM.

Heat Treatment
Solution annealed; cold worked for strengthened conditionsSolution annealing restores a ductile corrosion-resistant structure, while specified cold work raises strength without precipitation aging.
What we can make in 304
Stud
Finished stud length covers the flange stack, gasket and both nut engagements. Full-length thread permits nut positioning from either end for cover removal and flange assembly.
Nuts
Match nut thread class and proof-load requirements to the stud. Regular and heavy-hex patterns need different socket clearances and bearing footprints around the flange holes.

Manufacturing route
Studs, nuts and washers are manufactured and inspected as separate components before the specified quantities are packed as a set.
Heat treatment & final condition
The final annealed or specified strengthened condition is linked to the lot; an aging treatment is not assumed for a solid-solution alloy.
Finished geometry
Thread engagement, nut pattern and component grades are checked together. Each component retains its heat or batch identity in the set documentation.
Where 304 fits — and what matters

Industrial Machinery & Automation
Machine housings and service covers304 fully threaded stud & nut sets supply the stud and two mating nuts for machine housings and service covers as one assembly line item. Thread fit, nut pattern and stud length are coordinated before packing. Alignment, operating cycles and replacement access define the working interface.

Automotive & EV Manufacturing Equipment
Test-equipment housings304 fully threaded stud & nut sets supply the stud and two mating nuts for test-equipment housings as one assembly line item. Thread fit, nut pattern and stud length are coordinated before packing. Repeated tooling changes require consistent seating and repeatable assembly dimensions.

Pumps, Valves & OEM
Pump casings and valve bonnets304 fully threaded stud & nut sets supply the stud and two mating nuts for pump casings and valve bonnets as one assembly line item. Thread fit, nut pattern and stud length are coordinated before packing. Repeated maintenance makes fit, engagement and access part of the component specification.
Same stud & nut set. Different material priorities.
304 material data316L
Molybdenum-bearing stainless performance in wet equipment.
- Connection priority
- Preload shared by the stud and its mating nuts
- Washdown and retained cleaner
- Cleaner concentration, rinse quality and deposits determine the exposure in covered joints. The low-carbon designation does not independently establish a fastener strength class. Include liquid retained at the stud threads, two nut engagements and bearing seats in the exposure description.
17-4 PH
Aging-controlled strength and hardness.
- Connection priority
- Preload shared by the stud and its mating nuts
- H900 versus H1150
- The aging condition changes the balance of strength, hardness and toughness. A replacement part needs the specified H condition, especially where contact wear and shock load occur together.
Inconel 625
Solid-solution strength and resistance to aggressive process liquids.
- Connection priority
- Preload shared by the stud and its mating nuts
- Annealed or solution-annealed 625
- The delivery condition affects strength and high-temperature response. Keep the specified condition with the component’s mechanical acceptance; 718-style aging is not the strengthening route for 625. Include liquid retained at the stud threads, two nut engagements and bearing seats in the exposure description.

Questions about 304 fully threaded stud & nut sets
What makes a set traceable rather than simply bagged together?
The stud and each nut lot retain their material and production identities. Component counts, mating thread checks and final conditions are recorded against the set’s BOM.
