Super Duplex 2507 Eye-end / swing bolts
DIN 444ASTM A276
Super Duplex 2507 swing bolts combine a pivoting cover clamp with super-duplex strength and resistance to chloride pitting. Eye-to-pin fit and the nut-bearing arrangement define the closed connection and its maintenance travel.

What we can make in Super Duplex 2507
Pivot eye
Use on hinged clamps and access covers that open frequently. The eye stays on a pivot pin so the bolt swings clear of the cover slot without removing the complete fastener.
Threaded clamp
The threaded leg sets the clamp opening and tightening travel. On a slotted cover, the nut or clamping handle needs a bearing face wide enough to bridge the slot.
Swing bolt vs lifting eye
Use a swing bolt to retain and tighten a cover; specify a rated lifting component for hoisting. The pivot eye dimensions alone do not establish an allowable lifting load.

Manufacturing route
CNC machining suits samples; a volume heading or forging route must preserve duplex phase balance through forming and final thermal processing.
Heat treatment & final condition
Solution treatment and cooling control the duplex structure. Subsequent processing must preserve the ordered corrosion and mechanical condition.
Finished geometry
Head geometry, bearing face, shank and thread fit are checked after the final machining and thermal operations.
Where Super Duplex 2507 fits — and what matters

Offshore & Marine
Seawater pump and cooling-system coversSuper Duplex 2507 eye-end / swing bolts pivot into and out of the closures on seawater pump and cooling-system covers, allowing the clamp to release without removing the bolt from its hinge pin. The assembled contact is exposed to saltwater, deposits and neighbouring metals.

Water Treatment & Desalination
Filter housings and treatment-pump coversSuper Duplex 2507 eye-end / swing bolts pivot into and out of the closures on filter housings and treatment-pump covers, allowing the clamp to release without removing the bolt from its hinge pin. The water stream, cleaning cycle and retained liquid define exposure at the installed part.

Oil & Gas
Process valves and equipment closuresSuper Duplex 2507 eye-end / swing bolts pivot into and out of the closures on process valves and equipment closures, allowing the clamp to release without removing the bolt from its hinge pin. Utility connections and pressure-boundary parts have separate acceptance requirements on the equipment drawing.
Same eye-end / swing bolt. Different material priorities.
Super Duplex 2507 material dataInconel 625
Solid-solution strength and resistance to aggressive process liquids.
- Connection priority
- Pivot contact and tension during cover clamping
- Annealed or solution-annealed 625
- The delivery condition affects strength and high-temperature response. Keep the specified condition with the component’s mechanical acceptance; 718-style aging is not the strengthening route for 625. Include liquid retained at the eye bore around its pivot and the nut-bearing seat in the exposure description.
Monel K-500
Age-hardened strength in the nickel–copper alloy family.
- Connection priority
- Pivot contact and tension during cover clamping
- Strength and hydrogen exposure
- K-500 gains strength through aging. Cathodic protection, hydrogen exposure and the ordered condition need joint consideration in highly loaded marine components. Include liquid retained at the eye bore around its pivot and the nut-bearing seat in the exposure description.
Duplex 2205
Duplex strength and chloride-corrosion resistance.
- Connection priority
- Pivot contact and tension during cover clamping
- S31803 or S32205
- The specified UNS fixes the chemistry. Solution treatment, section size and the ordered mechanical or corrosion tests establish the final duplex condition. Include liquid retained at the eye bore around its pivot and the nut-bearing seat in the exposure description.

Questions about Super Duplex 2507 eye-end / swing bolts
Is this the same as a rated lifting eye bolt?
This page covers swing-bolt cover and clamp connections. A lifting device needs a separately defined design, load rating and certification; DIN 444 geometry alone does not provide those.
