Duplex 2205 Phillips pan head screws
ISO 7045ASTM A276
Duplex 2205 pan-head screws bring duplex strength and chloride-corrosion resistance to panel and cover fixings. The cross recess transfers installation torque while the head footprint spreads load into the panel.

What we can make in Duplex 2205
Pan head
Use for panels and covers that can accept a projecting head, avoiding a countersink in thin sheet. The flat underside needs sufficient seat area around the clearance hole.
Phillips drive
Use a matching Phillips type H driver for service and assembly tools. A Pozidriv type Z bit is not the same fit; mismatched recess engagement increases cam-out and head damage.
Machine screw
Use with a tapped boss, nut or threaded insert in equipment panels. Match screw length to the available engagement so a blind hole does not stop the screw before the cover is clamped.

Manufacturing route
CNC machining suits samples; a volume heading or forging route must preserve duplex phase balance through forming and final thermal processing.
Heat treatment & final condition
Solution treatment and cooling control the duplex structure. Subsequent processing must preserve the ordered corrosion and mechanical condition.
Finished geometry
The cross recess is checked for tool engagement and concentricity, followed by thread gauging and under-head length inspection.
Where Duplex 2205 fits — and what matters

Offshore & Marine
Marine equipment enclosuresDuplex 2205 phillips pan head screws attach marine equipment enclosures through a broad pan-head bearing face where a projecting head is acceptable and a cross-recess tool can reach the screw. The assembled contact is exposed to saltwater, deposits and neighbouring metals.

Water Treatment & Desalination
Filtration-equipment coversDuplex 2205 phillips pan head screws attach filtration-equipment covers through a broad pan-head bearing face where a projecting head is acceptable and a cross-recess tool can reach the screw. The water stream, cleaning cycle and retained liquid define exposure at the installed part.

Oil & Gas
Instrument and auxiliary-equipment enclosuresDuplex 2205 phillips pan head screws attach instrument and auxiliary-equipment enclosures through a broad pan-head bearing face where a projecting head is acceptable and a cross-recess tool can reach the screw. Utility connections and pressure-boundary parts have separate acceptance requirements on the equipment drawing.
Same phillips pan head screw. Different material priorities.
Duplex 2205 material dataInconel 625
Solid-solution strength and resistance to aggressive process liquids.
- Connection priority
- Panel clamping and torque transfer through the cross recess
- Annealed or solution-annealed 625
- The delivery condition affects strength and high-temperature response. Keep the specified condition with the component’s mechanical acceptance; 718-style aging is not the strengthening route for 625. Include liquid retained at the cross recess and the underside of the pan head in the exposure description.
Super Duplex 2507
Super-duplex strength and resistance to chloride pitting.
- Connection priority
- Panel clamping and torque transfer through the cross recess
- Final duplex structure
- S32750 chemistry and final solution treatment belong together. Forming, section size and cooling affect the structure represented by the mechanical and corrosion records. Include liquid retained at the cross recess and the underside of the pan head in the exposure description.
Monel K-500
Age-hardened strength in the nickel–copper alloy family.
- Connection priority
- Panel clamping and torque transfer through the cross recess
- Strength and hydrogen exposure
- K-500 gains strength through aging. Cathodic protection, hydrogen exposure and the ordered condition need joint consideration in highly loaded marine components. Include liquid retained at the cross recess and the underside of the pan head in the exposure description.

Questions about Duplex 2205 phillips pan head screws
What controls installation on a thin panel?
The panel’s bearing strength and the engaged thread can govern before the screw’s tensile strength. Match the head footprint and driver recess to the tightening method and the actual panel or insert.
