Inconel 625 plate & sheet
ASTM B443
Inconel 625 plate and sheet provide solid-solution strength and resistance to aggressive process liquids for cut, formed or fabricated components. Thickness, flatness and thermal history determine how the stock becomes a usable cover, liner or structural section.

Heat Treatment
Annealed or solution annealedAnnealing restores ductility, while the higher-temperature solution anneal prepares 625 for creep-resistant service without precipitation aging.
What we can make in Alloy 625
Plate
Use for machined covers, tube sheets and equipment plates. Include finishing allowance where machining must remove mill scale or achieve flat gasket and bearing faces.
Sheet
Use for formed covers, ducting and thermal shields where bendability and thickness consistency matter. Surface finish and grain direction can affect visible surfaces and bend quality.
Cut blanks
Use cut profiles to reduce workshop cutting and material waste before fabrication. Hole position, edge finish and heat-affected edges matter when the blank goes directly into forming or welding.

Supply & preparation
Plate or sheet is prepared as full pieces or cut blanks, with stock condition retained through cutting and identification.
Material condition
The final annealed or specified strengthened condition is linked to the lot; an aging treatment is not assumed for a solid-solution alloy.
Finished geometry
Thickness, flatness, squareness and edge condition determine the usable blank.
Where 625 fits — and what matters

Chemical Processing
Process-equipment covers and shieldsInconel 625 plate & sheet are cut and formed into process-equipment covers and shields, support plates or cover blanks. Thickness and flatness set the available section before cutting, bending or joining. Process liquid can remain at the contact after the exposed surface drains.

Pumps, Valves & OEM
Actuator housings and removable equipment coversInconel 625 plate & sheet are cut and formed into actuator housings and removable equipment covers, support plates or cover blanks. Thickness and flatness set the available section before cutting, bending or joining. Repeated maintenance makes fit, engagement and access part of the component specification.

Mining & Mineral Processing
Chemical-recovery equipment shieldsInconel 625 plate & sheet are cut and formed into chemical-recovery equipment shields, support plates or cover blanks. Thickness and flatness set the available section before cutting, bending or joining. Leach solution and deposits act on the installed part; corrosion duty is separate from abrasive wear.
Same plate & sheet. Different material priorities.
Inconel 625 material dataHastelloy C-276
Resistance to chemically aggressive, mixed process streams.
- Connection priority
- Plate stiffness or the load carried by a formed section
- Process liquid and shutdown chemistry
- C-276 is selected for its nickel–chromium–molybdenum–tungsten chemistry. Residual product, cleaning liquid and oxidising contamination can expose a sheltered connection differently from the main flow. Include liquid retained at formed corners, cut edges and welded seams in the exposure description.
Hastelloy C-22
Corrosion resistance across oxidising and reducing process exposures.
- Connection priority
- Plate stiffness or the load carried by a formed section
- Production and cleaning cycles
- C-22’s chromium-bearing chemistry is relevant when chemical exposure changes between operating and cleaning cycles. Include both liquids when comparing it with C-276 or a B-type nickel alloy. Include liquid retained at formed corners, cut edges and welded seams in the exposure description.
Titanium Grade 2
Low mass, corrosion resistance and commercially pure titanium formability.
- Connection priority
- Plate stiffness or the load carried by a formed section
- Commercially pure titanium
- Grade 2 favours corrosion resistance and forming characteristics over the higher strength of Grade 5. Mating-metal contact, surface condition and assembly friction remain part of the connection design. Include liquid retained at formed corners, cut edges and welded seams in the exposure description.

Questions about 625 plate & sheet
Which stock details matter beyond alloy and thickness?
Flatness, surface finish, edge preparation and any directional forming requirement influence the usable component. A cut blank also needs a heat identity that survives separation from the original sheet or plate.
