Which names and standards identify a C-276 bolt?
State C-276 and UNS N10276. B574 covers rod/bar starting material; its certificate alone does not establish finished-bolt conformity. F468/F468M fastener tables call this Alloy 276. Select the inch or metric specification, edition, required final condition and mechanical acceptance requirements.
Does the C-276 fastener specification include my process corrosion test?
A material or fastener certificate does not by itself demonstrate performance in your process. Order any required corrosion test separately: name the method, medium, concentration, temperature, specimen condition, sampling and acceptance limit. Define it alongside the finished-bolt mechanical tests so both scopes are included in the quotation.
Is C-276 automatically suitable for any acid service?
No. Supply the full process and cleaning chemistry, concentrations, contaminants and temperatures. Published laboratory corrosion data apply to their stated test conditions. Review the actual joint exposure and any project-required test before accepting the material for service.
Can I request these bolts without a drawing?
Yes. Start with diameter, under-head length, thread designation and quantity per size. Add full or partial threading, the threaded length for a partial thread, and the required material condition. Include the service details listed above; identify any missing requirements for review before order confirmation.

Capture more than the main chemical
C-276 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum corrosion alloy. Describe the full exposure cycle, including cleaning and possible contamination; a nominal process chemical alone can miss a different corrosion condition at the joint.

ASTM B574 is a bar/rod reference. Any project-required corrosion test must name the method, specimen condition and acceptance criteria. A generic C-276 corrosion description is not an agreed inspection result.
