Which stock standard applies to Incoloy 825 hex bolts?
ASTM B425 identifies the N08825 rod/bar route. Specify the required annealed condition, then add the finished-bolt mechanical acceptance, dimensions and thread. The reviewed F468 grade list does not establish an 825 route.
How should I compare 825 with age-hardenable 925?
Separate corrosion exposure from the required strength and hardness. Specify the final condition for each candidate and compare them against the same joint requirements. An annealed 825 quotation should not inherit the aged strength assumptions of 925.
