Nominal diameter ≥ 1/4 in. Specify the finished condition and edition; verify the applicable mechanical tests and marking. A metric thread does not turn F2281 into a metric specification.
601 chemistry and its oxidation-focused selection do not define bolt strength. State F2281 condition A, CWA or HWA and the thermal cycle for the joint.

Technical help
Does Inconel 601 use the same standards as Inconel 600?
B166 covers stock for both grades, and the reviewed F2281 classification places both in Type III, Class A for inch fasteners. Keep N06601 explicit on a 601 order and select the final condition; a shared standard does not authorize a grade change.
What should I compare before changing a 600 bolt to 601?
Compare the process atmosphere, thermal cycling, joint load and required final properties. The oxidation-focused reason for considering 601 is one part of that review; retain the drawing, thread and acceptance requirements when comparing quotations.
